My first trip to Hawaii was in May of 1997. As I prepared for the trip, I began to do some research on Hawaii. Of all the things I discovered, I was intrigued with Chinaman's Hat the most. Chinaman's Hat is a tiny little island located off the shore of Kualoa Park, in Kaneohe Bay, on the island of Oahu. |

The Story of Chinaman's Hat is a children's book written by Dean Howell. The story is about a little boy named Lick Bean from China who turns into a giant and floats across the ocean to Hawaii. It is difficult to find a new copy of the book. I was lucky enough to pick one up on a trip to Hawaii. It looks like you can buy a copy directly from Island Heritage. | ||
| On our last trip to Hawaii (March, 2005) we stayed at a friends house in Kaneohe. Strabucks had recently opened up a new store about a mile from where we were staying. This was the first Starbucks that I have been to that had a drive through. I went there almost every morning to get a Venti Chai Tea! Yum! |

I hope you enjoy the pictures of Chinaman's Hat and also of Hawaii. I have more pictures and I'll be adding more photo galleries in the near future. And with each trip to Hawaii, I will be sure to visit Chinaman's Hat and take new photos. Thanks for stopping by. Mahalo nui loa, Mark |
